Thirteen Blossoms From my Garden

Header from samulli

I love watching my flowers bloom -- almost as much as I enjoy blogging with my friends. This summer my flowers are particularly pretty. Please accept this virtual bouquet with my thanks for your Internet visit.

1. Flower arrangements usually have some green so I’ve included one of my ferns.

2. Who doesn’t like roses?
3. This is one of my favorites—an Oriental lily.
4. This is a red peony I saved from the shaded corner of my house.
5. These are Asian lilies.

6. Purple blossoms from my hostas.

7. Queen Anne’s Lace. Lots of people think these are weeds, but I think they’re lovely.

8. More pink Asian lilies.

9. Pink poppies from my pink garden.

10. Another peony. This one I bought from a garden catalog, but I can’t remember what its name is.

11. An orange day lily. The old kind you find growing along the roadsides around Wisconsin.

12. A Stella Dora lily.

13. More hosta blooms.

Happy Thursday Thirteen. I hope you enjoyed the flowers and that you’ll visit again soon.

I agree; Queen Anne's Lace isn't a weed. Or if it is, it's a lovely weed!

I like lilies, but they seem to like to aggravate my lungs. A LOT. I've had to leave rooms when they are used in a display!

Susan Helene Gottfried,
I'm sorry to hear about your problems with lilies. They're some of my favorite flowers, but I understand why you don't care for them.

Alice Audrey,
Thanks. I work on my photography almost as much as my gardening.

jillconyers,
Thanks, I like gardens too.

I'm a Lily girl, myself. I once bought a house that came with a rose garden. They are beautiful, but can be a lot of work.

Sometimes I wish I had a garden. Except then I'd have to weed it. Lovely pictures!

Maya Doyle,
I share your opinion. Lilies and orchids are beautiful. Thanks.

Brenda ND said...

Heather,
Weeding is the worst part of gardening for me, but I love watching the flowers grow.

Brenda ND said...

Adelle,
I'll try. The problem with photographing the whole garden is that the garden is in little sections, but I could get pictures of each bit of garden. That's an idea for a future blog.

Brenda ND said...

storyteller,
It's my pleasure to share my garden with you.

Brenda ND said...

Stephanie Adkins,
Thanks. Grin.

Hi Brenda. Thank you so much for visiting my blog and leaving a comment. Fortunately, nothing untoward came of the tsunami warning, thank goodness.

I love the photos of your flowers. You must have the most amazing garden. My mum, grandmother and aunt were all keen gardeners. One of my brother is, I love gardening and both of my daughters are keen gardeners. That trait has certainly been passed on.

I'm going to add you to my blog list, if you don't mind, so you'll see me again. Cheers.
