Guest Blogger Shara Lanel

I'm pleased to introduce everyone here at the diner to my good friend and our first guest blogger Shara Lanel.

Shara Lanel dashes in humor and paranormal angst in her books for Liquid Silver, Loose Id, and New Concepts. Secrets and Spies is her latest release about a girl with telekinesis and the agent who loves her. And watch for her upcoming release, Blame It On The Moon, about a werewolf and a mind reader investigating a murder.

  1. I'm jumping in with a comment. Not one for strict genre-I, too, love the combination of humor along with paranormal and romance.

"Sid Smart" (protag/mystery) and her Third Eye detective agency discovers a touch of the paranormal in her first escapade in "Dance On His Grave." And of course, even at the ripe age of fifty, manages to find time for a little romance. Just a little, though, because she's just divorced her preacher husband and is rather skittish about men.

  3. Hi Desta, Thanks for the vote of confidence! I've got several more ideas in the works. Just waiting for my son to go back to school ;-)

Sylvia, The Sid Smart book sounds cool and you reminded me of someone else I've been reading: Victoria Laurie and her Psychic Eye mysteries and now she's spun off with a ghost hunter series.

  4. Oh and don't forget about Michele Bardsley and her series about the town of Broken Heart, Oklahoma where a bunch of single parents have become vampires... Now school is held at night and the PTO meets a midnight... (I'm the Vampire, That's Why & Don't Talk Back to Your Vampire). Visit www.michelebardsley.com for more info (just a fan, no affiliation).

I recently read the first book of a new series that sounds promising too. Ginger Rodgers "Sunny Side Up". Sunny Acres (yep that's the main characters name) is a girly girl who gets snatched up by some supernatural being and is given powers to fight demons (along with a group of military men). Hmmm the men don't know what to think of Sunny's part in their demon fighting group and that really ticks her off....hehehe don't underestimate Sunny!!! You can read an excerpt on www.GingerRodgers.com if you are interested (nope I'm not affiliated in any way -- I just enjoyed the book).

I'm sooo glad you are discussing this topic. I love the humorous paranormals too!!!

    Thanks,

    Steph

  5. Wow, that Ginger Rodgers book looks really cute. I'll have to add that to my TBB pile. I have a couple of Michele Bardsley books around here waiting for my attention: Cupid, Inc. for example.
